I began my own emotional healing training when studying Councelling at Vaughan College in Leicester. Like many people going to study this subject, I was drawn there by a wish to understand more about others, and a need to understand myself and my reactions to my own past experiences.

As I learnt about emotional healing I gained more understanding of other people’s reactions to stress, loss and trauma in their lives.

By allowing my clients to explore their past I began to help them to release fear, anger and resentment. Giving them more control over their own lives and helping them to begin to look forward, towards a brighter future.

I have been teaching and practicing Reiki & Seichem for over 12 years and enjoy the quiet peaceful loving energy it brings me into contact with. It is more than what I do – it part of who I am.

I have now trained as an NLP Master Practitioner - this has a lovely philosophy of acceptance of others and self behind it and allows me to use tools for emotional healing that are really powerful.

I have run self development groups of many kinds over the last 10 years and also taught college courses. The subjects have included assertiveness, goal setting, guided meditation and NLP Techniques.

Some of my favourite books / Audio books

Title and Author Why I Like It
Secrets About Life Every Woman Should Know: Ten Principles for Spiritual and Emotional Fulfillment
(by Barbara De Angelis)
This is not just for women, it is well written and every time I read it I take a deeper meaning from it - I learn something new. One of the secrets is that happiness lies in you - not in what you expect or any external event or influence.
The Everyday Meditator (by Osho) This has a simple meditation on every page, it invites you to stop for a while and contemplate light, beauty and peace. (to name a few)
Conversations with God - Series of books
(by Neale Donald Walsh)
These books are conversations between God and the author -  He asks all the challenging questions and God answers - what evolves is a non judgmental God with a great sense of humour
Angels in my Hair (by Lorna Byrne) A beautiful peaceful book of observations as the story of the authors life is told, you are invited to see life through the eyes of someone who literally sees and talks to angels.

Rhymes of Life
by Wendy Dunning

What would happen if instead
Of all the negative stuff
We filled up our thoughts
With forgiveness and love

If we let go expectations
And chose only peace
If anger and pain
We choose to release

If we looked for the laughter
And noticed the joy
Blessed all the good things
In each girl and boy

If we could – and we did
Would the messages spread
And it alter the world
At some point far ahead?

-------------------------

Don’t hold me back
Don’t hold me down
Don’t tell me not to go
I’m following my heart this time
 I really have to know
Who it is I will become
When I’m allowed to grow

The past is behind you
You cannot return
From every event
There is something to learn

The future before you
It’s coming your way
It may end tomorrow
So start it today

----------------------------------

Believe in yourself
And what you can do
It’s the first step
To a future that’s new

You do have a right
To be happy and whole
So choose with your heart
And make that your goal

--------------------

You can change your thoughts
They're yours to change or keep
Although you may not know them
For they are buried deep

It depends on what you’ve learnt
Until this present day
And who it was that taught you
To think your current way

 You can change your thinking
Change a few thoughts every day
As you read this you are learning
And the old thoughts fade away
