OF FIRST WEEK
This is a plan for the first evening
of most courses - all other weeks follow a similar routine
10 minutes chat and arrival time
I ask that you please make sure your phones are off
Get a show of hands that you commit to keeping what is shared in the room confidential and that it stays there.
Also that you will arrive on time out of respect for the others
I ask that you rivet your attention to someone who is talking – it is respectful
and allows us all to be really heard
Wherever possible the chairs are placed in a circle
We use an object such as a crystal or talking stick - this gives
everyone the chance to share or can even be passed on without
sharing if wished.
5 - 10 minutes - Using a talking stick or crystal go round the circle with each person saying their name and something they are grateful for
(this can be anything and only needs to be one word) eg. your car or
friend getting you there on time, the sun, your partner, your
health, breath, flowers, etc. etc.
!5 - 20 minute - guided meditation starting and ending with deep breaths –
this is based on the theme of the evening - the first week this is a
campfire
1 hour discussion on chosen subject - sometimes this might be a
picture / word / book / therapy / metaphor / idea / there are over 50
prepared choices
5 minutes - Guided meditation on releasing unwanted emotions
and energy
5 minutes - Relaxing or inspiring music
5 minutes - Grounding / Protecting / Locking in what they has been learnt
/ imagining how you will leave the room and go out into the world with
your new way of thinking and being

5 -15 minutes - Water / Biscuits / Informal chat time
